    Barriers To Communication

    • Stress or Emotional Obstacles

    • Inconsistent Verbals and Non-Verbals
    • Disengaging or Defensive Non-Verbals
    • Language or Cultural Barriers

Communication is about more than just exchanging information. It’s about understanding the emotion and intentions behind the information. Effective communication is also a two-way street. It’s not only how you convey a message so that it is received and understood by someone in exactly the way you intended, it’s also how you listen to gain the full meaning of what’s being said and to make the other person feel heard and understood.

More than just the words you use, effective communication combines a set of skills including nonverbal communication, engaged listening, managing stress in the moment, the ability to communicate assertively, and the capacity to recognize and understand your own emotions and those of the person you’re communicating with.

Effective communication is the glue that helps you deepen your connections to others and improve teamwork, decision making, and problem solving. It enables you to communicate even negative or difficult messages without creating conflict or destroying trust.

  • Sore Throat?

    Sore Throat?

In this video, Dr. Axe shares with you my top natural remedies to cure a sore throat. There are four main items that can help you cure a sore throat very fast.

    • The first product that can help ease your throat is olive leaf extract, which can kill off any bad bacteria and fungus in your body as well as function as an anti-viral.
    • Secondly, colloidal silver is great for curing a sore throat because it has powerful anti-bacterial and anti-viral activity in it. My favorite way to use colloidal silver is through a throat spray. I would recommend using it every 30 minutes if needed.
    • Sea Salt is the third ingredient I would recommend for curing a sore throat because it has natural soothing effects to the throat when consumed, which naturally treats a sore throat. Start with mixing sea salt and water and gargling this mixture three times a day.
    • Lastly, using essential oils like lemon, oregano, and peppermint will help cure your sore throat. These three oils are the most effect oils for treating a sore throat. You could also add these oils to your throat spray to make it even more powerful.

  • Losing Sleep? All-Natural Ways to Fall Asleep and Get High Quality Sleep

Losing Sleep? All-Natural Ways to Fall Asleep and Get High Quality Sleep

BELOW are 10 All-Natural things to do if you’re having trouble falling asleep:

    1. Go to bed in a cold, dark room. (Temperature between 60-73˚) The cold will help decrease your core body temperature, in turn initiating sleepiness.

    2. Go to bed at the same time every night, wake up at the same time. Your body will get used to the cycle and it will become easier to get good sleep. Try to get 8 hours per night.

    3. Don’t eat foods high in carbohydrates before bed. Focus on nuts, seeds, veggies and meat for dinner.

    4. No caffeine after 3pm (it has a 12 hour lasting effect)

    5. Exercise daily in the morning. Exercising at night can lead to alertness.

    6. Don’t watch TV or work on the computer in your bed. The bright screen can also lead to alertness. I personally like to read a fiction book or spiritual growth book. Non fiction books tend to ignite new ideas and can lead to alertness.

    7. If you’re having racing thoughts or worried about the next day, write it all out on paper.

    8. Eat the right foods throughout the day. These foods will aid in falling asleep: Grassfed beef, Flaxseeds, Chia Seeds, Wild Caught Salmon, Raw Dairy.

    9. Supplement with Calcium Magnesium within 1 hour of going to bed. He recommends CALM (Amazon link: http://amzn.to/LBFZtM)

    10. Supplement with Omega-3 Fish oil throughout the day.

  • Tips For Assisting With ADHD Naturally

In today’s video, Dr. Axe shares with you the foods, supplements, natural treatments, and essential oils for ADHD. He guarantees if you follow these remedies, you’re going to see improvement in focus and reducing ADHD-like symptoms

First, you absolutely want to remove sugar from your diet. Sugar can cause a lack of focus, or hyperactive behavior. Secondly, you want to load up your diet with healthy protein, fat, and fibers. This will keep your blood sugar steady. You will want to have a high, nutrient-dense diet that includes vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds, organic meats and foods high in omega-3 fatty acids.

The top supplement you want to include in your diet to treat ADHD is fish oil (500-1000mg daily). Another supplement that can support the nervous system, brain, and focus is vitamin B complex.

Lastly, vetiver and cedarwood essential oils are the most effective essential oils you can use for treating ADHD. Take two drops of each oil and rub them on your neck and temple for improvement on focus.

“Black Salve” From the Raw Food Guy

We are starting to use this. I have a cyst on my back that was surgically removed and came back.  The second time it was almost gone after using Frankincense but I didn’t finish the process and it started to come back again.  We will continue our testimony in the future when everything is finished but here is some information about this.  I have shared with several of you about this so I just figured I would give everyone this information.  We will post some pictures of our process.  This has not been evaluated by the FDA.  This is not medical advice this is testimony information.

There is no zinc chloride in the salve that Paul used.  It’s main ingredient is blood root.  He also used goldenseal/myrrh.  If you decide to use this please follow the directions.

What is the AromaTouch™ Massage Technique?

    aromatouch 1

AromaTouch Technique is a clinical approach Treatment to applying essential oils along energy meridians and visceral contact points of the back and feet to help balance sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems of the body. Developed by Dr. David Hill, a leading expert in integrative medicine and therapeutic applications of essential oils, the AromaTouch Technique improves well-being by reducing physical and emotional stressors and by supporting healthy autonomic function. The technique uses doTERRA’s Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade™ essential oils. The result is feeling destressed, uplifted and with a sense of well-being.

    AromaTouch™ Procedure

The AromaTouch Technique includes four primary steps designed to minimize systemic stressors to autonomic balance. Each step includes the application of two essential oils or essential oil blends specifically formulated to support healthy emotional and physiological functions for well-being. The technique requires 45 – 60 minutes per application. Multiple applications are very beneficial.

Most individuals encounter factors in daily life, from both their internal and external environment, that have negative effects on their overall wellness. These disturbances cause an imbalance in homeostasis (the natural balance of body systems and health). Even when challenges of stress on our bodies (emotional, physical or Environmental) do not directly result in disease, they can cause our bodies to function at a sub-optimal level. The AromaTouch™ Technique works to restore homeostasis, and minimize the impact of these factors. Four systemic constants that most often impair homeostasis are:

    Stress
Emotional distress, career choices, discord, financial worries, lack of rest, etc. all elevate stress levels in the body. Elevated stress levels, maintained over time, have been shown in clinical studies to cause negative consequences to health. Studies have revealed that over time high stress levels can contribute to the development of cardiovascular disease, depression, insomnia, ulcers and other health issues.
Stress also negatively impacts the immune system, leaving it increasingly vulnerable to pathogens. Stress causes the body to increase its production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter in charge of vital nervous system functions. Elevated serotonin levels are harmful to the body’s immunity. While serotonin works to monitor emotional and nerve health at normal levels, at elevated levels it can destroy white blood cells, resulting in a weakened immune system. Stress also causes increased levels of cortisol and epinephrine in body, further weakening immune response.
Many essential oils have been proven to counteract the negative effects of stress..

    Toxic Insult
Immunity depends on the ability of the body to produce effective white blood cells, complementary proteins, and other cell and body barriers. The immune system comprises a large network of organs and varied cell types, carrying out a range of interrelated functions. Its interconnectedness leaves it very vulnerable to toxins. The normal functioning of the immune system can be easily hampered by a number of factors: environmental, dietary, medical interventions, etc. Exposure to a wide array of toxic insults including disease-causing pathogens, hormone or pesticide contaminated food products, increasing levels of free-radical pollution, and overexposure to radiation all contribute to the weakening of the immune system.

    Inflammation
The inflammatory response occurs when body tissues are injured by bacteria, trauma, toxins, heat, or any other cause. The increased consumption of foods with pro-inflammatory components (foods high in polyunsaturated vegetable oils and trans-fats) together with high carbohydrate and low protein consumption contribute to increased inflammation in body tissues. Stress with its accompanying imbalance of cortisol, can also contribute to chronic uncontrolled inflammation and various immunological dysfunctions. Studies increasingly show a direct link between chronic illness, inflammation, and fatal disease. Inflammation is also harmful to the body’s autonomic balance because of its pain inducing effects.

    Autonomic Imbalance
The opposite of homeostasis, an imbalance of the autonomic nervous system (also known as the ANS, or visceral nervous system) can negatively impact health in a number of ways. Recent research has shown a direct link between autonomic imbalance and hypertension (high blood pressure). There is also evidence that autonomic imbalance can lead to cardiovascular morbidity and even mortality. Autonomic imbalances can result from a number of sources, the major ones are mentioned above: stress, decreased immunity, and inflammation. Restoring homeostasis, or autonomic balance, can reduce the physiological impact of stressors on the body.
